A “Fixed gear bicycle” or “Fixie: is a bicycle which has the cog directly linked to the motion of the pedals. This means that unlike a regular bicycle, on a Fixie, when you pedal forward you move forward and when you pedal backwards, you move backwards.

A single speed bike works the same way a normal bike does. However, it does not have any gears and you can brake using hand brakes.

 

Yes! Fixed gear fans use them for any purpose: commuting, racing, cruising around and almost anything you can think of. Depending on your needs, you can customize your Fixie to fit your usual schedule.

 

Yes! All of our bicycles come with brakes. Some just have a front brake, while some of them come with both front and back brakes. If you are not sure, just send us a message and ask!

 

In order to optimize your bike for your personal needs and desires, you can choose every part individually. If you need help or advice building your bike, send us a message and one of our colleagues will surely offer his/her assistance.

 

If you ordered a complete bike, it will usually reach you almost completely assembled. You will only have to mount the handlebar, front-wheel, brakes, pedals and saddle. The tools you need are a spanner and allen-keys.
